Space Nuclear Power Corporation recently signed an agreement with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to license the Kilopower reactor technology. We are now actively pursuing options to build flight demonstration hardware, while creating additional flight concepts tailored to customers' needs. Kilopower is a demonstrated reactor technology intended to provide between 1 and 30 kWe in space, including the surfaces of the Moon and Mars. The Kilopower reactor was envisioned, created, and developed by SpaceNukes founders David Poston and Patrick McClure. The 2018 KRUSTY test (Kilopower Reactor Using Stirling Technology) was the first demonstration of any new reactor concept in the US in over 50 years, and Kilopower remains the only space reactor technology ready for a flight program.
